We don't say it enough whether to our friends, family, or coworkers. We don't say thank you, job well done, keep up the great work, I loved the way you did that thing, you're crushing it right now! Being an opinionated bunch we often focus on how we can constantly improve things and forget about the huge effort and emotional investment people put into their work every day. 

Seven positive comments can easily be erased by one negative one. That's not to say we shouldn't give negative feedback — or surround feedback with so many pillows that the message is indecipherable — we all want to be kind and caring and supportive of those we work with.

When you see someone going above and beyond, shout them out on Slack, send them a direct message, or say something in a team meeting. We're busy, focused, and mean well, but sometimes need a little reminder to say, "Thank you for doing what you do to make Fractured Atlas, well, Fractured Atlas!"

Sometimes negative feedback is necessary, but let’s try to give out positive feedback and recognition as well.
